Booking Terms and Conditions

For Cow Parsley Cottage, Treworlas, Ruan High Lanes, Truro TR2 5LS.

This is a No Smoking property.

Pets are allowed in the cottage but are not permitted on the furniture and must be in a crate if left in the cottage unattended.

Owners must clean up after their dogs.

A maximum of 2 dogs are allowed. 

Other pets are only allowed at the discretion of the owner

You are required to vacate the property by 10.00am on the day of departure and arrive after 4.00pm on the day of commencement, unless previously arranged with the proprietors.


COVID-19

You must tell us straight away if you or any member of your party has symptoms. You will be expected to return home immediately for both your own safety, and for the safety of ourselves and the local community.  If you have to self-isolate at Cow Parsley Cottage we regret that we will have to charge for extended occupancy.


PAYMENT -

Please send a deposit of 20% to secure your booking for the stipulated dates.  The balance is to be paid at least two months before the commencement of the holiday.  

Telephone and email bookings are held for five days until payment is received.

Please make payments via personal cheques or bank transfer payable to Mrs C Freeth.


CANCELLATIONS -

We would advise that you take out insurance against cancellation.

A sixty (60) day notice is required for cancellation.

Cancellations that are made more than sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date will incur no penalty. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay, that are made within 60 days of the arrival date, forfeit the full advance payment and reservation deposit. If it is possible to re-let the property then 80% of the cost will be returned.  

In the event of a national lockdown where you cannot travel and we are unable to open for guests, you will receive a full refund.

In the event of a local lockdown where either you are prevented from travelling or we are prevented from opening for guests, you will receive a full refund.

If you are unable to have your booked holiday for any other reason (including, but not limited to, illness including Covid or a requirement to self-isolate) our normal terms and conditions apply (a full refund if more than 60 days from the arrival date, or an 80% refund if within 60 days of arrival and the cottage is able to be re-let). 


MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY - The maximum number of guests is limited to two (2) persons


INCLUSIVE FEES - Rates include a one-time linen & towel setup.  Please bring your own beach towels.  We do not permit towels or linens to be taken from the property.


WOODBURNER - The woodburner is a freestanding stove. Initial fuel is supplied from 1st October to 31 May and further fuel is available to purchase.  Please do not burn rubbish or coal on the stove.


SEPTIC - Cow Parsley Cottage is on a septic system which is very effective; however, it will clog up if improper material is flushed.  Do not flush anything other than toilet paper. If it is found that feminine products have been flushed and clog the septic system, you could be charged damages.  Please dispose of feminine products in the bins provided.


INTERNET - The internet connection is provided free of charge.  If it fails we will do everything possible to get it reconnected but we do not guarantee availability. Please use the internet responsibly and ensure that illegal material is not viewed or downloaded using our wi-fi connection.


The proprietors reserve the right to terminate your stay if any occupants are not treating the property with respect.

The proprietors shall not be liable to you, or any other member of your party for any loss or damage to you or your property, however caused, whist staying at Cow Parsley Cottage.

The proprietors reserve the right to refuse any booking, or to cancel any bookings already made subject to refunding any sums you have paid without further liability on your behalf.

The owner grants a licence to you under these conditions for the purpose of a holiday.  It is not intended to create a landlord and tenant relationship between the parties. There shall be no entitlement to a tenancy, an assured tenancy, assured short hold or to any statutory protection under the Housing Act 1988.

The Owner does not accept any responsibility or liability for acts or omissions of third parties, which may prevent or disrupt a booking. It may be possible that certain facilities or features may not be available on occasions due to circumstances beyond the Owner's control for which the Owner accepts no liability.

Payment of the deposit is deemed as acceptance of these terms and condition.
